Pixham Painting

A reminder of the date, place and timing.

The class is geared to painting landscape and portrait/figure this year. Drawing skills form a core to lessons, mixed with use of colour theory and technique in a choice of media and materials.

At the moment we have a small group and other members will be welcome to make up numbers.

Park in the Pixham Lane sports field (Cricket Club), cross road to your right and find the hut behind 2 houses.
Bring, in the first instance, drawing board, roll of lining wallpaper, black crayon or charcoal and maybe a notepad.

We will start with some basic drawing skills and discuss options for the coming weeks. I will demo drawing and invite you to do same. I will help with individual's work and we will discuss the general philosophy of drawing and painting/art.

I continue with my class/workshop in Pixham on Wednesday afternoons. The next session starts August 18th 3pm and there are a few places still available. Contact richard.waldron@yahoo.co.uk or

The Studio Art House is pleased to be taking part in
Heritage Open Days
9th-12th September 10 am to 6 pm

Heritage Open Days celebrates England’s architecture and culture by offering free access to properties that are usually closed to the public or normally charge for admission. Every year on four days in September, buildings of every age, style and function throw open their doors, ranging from castles to factories, town halls to tithe barns, parish churches to Buddhist temples. It is a once-a-year chance to discover hidden architectural and cultural treasures
The Studio Art House will be showing a private collection of
Twentieth and Twenty-first Century British Art
and Studio Pottery that is not usually open to the public

There will also be a selling exhibition of  paintings
by Stuart Stanley
